Using the generator

Ship Name Creator provides naming suggestions for personal and creative use. You may copy, adapt and share the generated letter blends and downloaded name cards.

Choosing a name

A generated suggestion may already exist as a name, word, username or brand. We do not check availability, ownership, meaning in every language or suitability for a particular use. You are responsible for checking a chosen name before using it publicly or commercially.

Respect other people

Use names you have a reason to use. Do not use this tool to impersonate, harass or reveal private information about someone. Ask the people involved before making a shared nickname public.

Availability and saved work

The tool is provided as available. Browser settings, storage limits and later changes can affect saved favorites. Export a copy of a shortlist you want to keep.

Independent project

This website is not affiliated with a fandom, archive, social network or any person whose name a visitor enters. Examples in the guides are illustrative.
